I came here from a Reddit comment that was posted under a vamp reddit…something about linking resources and this site was recommended?? I would like to say.. I absolutely luv this website so much and it even has the first ever vamp social media platform to exist I honestly thing the vc needed something like this
Im testing out the website and found a few things that actually interested me!!
Also will there be more Eros representation on the website?? It was nice to actually see some representation on the identity page I never rarely see that

Vampyre's and Vampirekin: Which Community Aligns with You?
I’m curious about everyone’s thoughts on both the Vampyre and Otherkin communities. I’ve been aware of the Vampyre community since my own awakening almost a decade and a half ago, but I’ve mostly been actively involved in Otherkin and similar groups up until my later years. I’m curious about what might draw one Vampire to one community and not to the other, as well as why it seems that Vampyres often view the experiences of Otherkin as less legitimate. I’d love to hear your perspectives on the differences between the two, your understanding of them, your personal preferences and what gravitated you towards one over the other, and any other thoughts you’d like to share.

I’ve noticed the two communities do tend to come in contact and mix here and there, but I think the reason why some may be one or the other is based around someone’s identity. You have part of the Vampyre community that does not align with the ideal that they believe they are not human while some do, but don’t exactly know about otherkin or sign onto the otherkin identity. I think it’s just what people choose to feel comfortable to identify as. I think the Vampyre and otherkin identity is already multifaceted so when you combine the two it could cause a pull between the beliefs in both communities and their set of ideals. Not only that, the concept of identity truly just pertains to yourself but when you have a group who share a similar ideal/identity that’s when it turns into a culture. Hence why the two communities can mingle but may also be separate.

VC related:
It was surprising to me to find out that Vampyres are not as public here in Europe, but more so in Africa and America. What's also interesting is that New Orleans seems to be a popular place for Vampyres.
Not VC related:
I learned what a monolith is in society and that it is not just a stone. (Thank you, Madame Corvidae. ^^)
