Vampyre communities are declining rapidly over the years, just as of 2024 we have lost a couple more known and reliable spaces within the vc. That being said, here are a few standing communities that we find suitable for those who are new.

Our Language

The vampyre community has many terminologies or slang we may use during day-to-day interactions. VtM heavily inspired some terms and has been integrated into our society, granted a good portion of terms are a dying concept in modern-day vampirism due to people not resonating with the terms or finding them cringe.

Here you will find the more common terms that are still used.

Autovampirism:
The drinking of one’s blood

Awakening:
Physical and mental changes occur when someone realizes their dormant vampyre nature. This could occur around puberty, but sometimes years later.

Baby Bat: A newly awakened vampyre.

Beast: The more primal nature that's deep-rooted. You will often hear this used when referring to the beast coming out during periods of cravings.

Black Swan:
A supporter of the vampyre community! An ally if you will.

Court:
A monthly event for vampyres to get together.

Coming Out of the Coffin: Refers to when a vampyre informs someone about their identity.

Donor:
Someone who gives or shares their blood or life energy.

Elder:
An elder is a respected member of the vampyre community. They are respected due to their experience and hand in assisting the vampyre community.

Emotional Vampyres:
There are two types of Emotional Vampyres. The first is not considered a vampyre but is a psychological term referring to emotionally needy individuals, who display narcissistic behavior. The second type is a psychic vampyre who feeds on the emotional energy of others.

Energy Vampyre:
An individual who has a need to feed upon the life forces of others.

Eros Vampyre:
Feeds off of sexual acts/energy.

House:
A group of vampyres bound by shared morals, interests, and hierarchy. These spaces are commonly separated from the public eye.

Hybrids:
Vampyres that feed off of both blood and energy.

Lifestyler:
Partakes in a vampyric personification could involve an aesthetic, lifestyle, and even philosophy.

Medical Sanguinarian:
Feeds on blood to cater to their psychological/Biological needs. This group of like-minded individuals refers to themselves as "med-sang" short for Medical Sanguinarian.

Sanguinarian Vampyre:
Your bloodsuckers, these vampyres need it to access energy.

Vampyre: An alternative spelling to the word vampire. This spelling is often used in the Vampyre community (mostly among older members) to differentiate us from the vampires you see in media. It is also can be for aesthetic purposes.
